| About the Guide Hello! I am Lex Hayes owner and operator of Lex's Guide Service. I wanted to thank you personally for taking time to stop and check out my website. All of my fishing trips are conducted on either Richland Chambers Lake or Lake Fairfield. I have many years of experience fishing these lakes and want to share that experience and expertise with you for a quality fishing trip. I strive to make my customers trip as easy and enjoyable as possible. I take pride in helping and teaching people about fishing. Don't forget to bring your kids. Lakes LAKE FAIRFIELD Lake Fairfield is located about 5 miles northeast of Fairfield, Texas inside of Fairfield State Park. We will be providing guided trips for big freshwater red fish (Red Drum). The lake is a hot water lake enabling the red fish to thrive in it. If you want to catch a fish that hits hard, puts up a great fight, and drags a lot of line this trip is for you. The current freshwater state red fish record holder, weighing 36.83 pounds, was caught at this lake. Most of the fish that we have been catching are weighing between 12-20 lbs with a few weighing just over 30lbs. Most of these trips are conducted in the late winter and spring, so book soon to get in on this action! Richland Chambers Richland Chambers Lake is located about 10 miles southeast of Corsicana, Texas. It was impounded in 1989, covering 44,752 acres making it one of the largest lakes in Texas. We offer guided trips year round on this lake for white bass and hybrids. We also offer trips for crappie in the spring during the spawn. The spring crappie fishing, along with the white bass fishing, is outstanding, The hybrid fishing is also really great with the catches growing in numbers and in size. We also offer night trips during the summer. These trips are really good if you don't want to take on the Texas summer heat during the day. On these night trips we catch a lot of fish consisting of white bass, crappie, and catfish. |
